Teens & Tweens

It's tough to be a kid these days, and how they learn to handle issues like bullying and cyber-bullying, effects and use of social media, school pressures, drugs and alcohol, and learning where they fit in, can have a tremendous impact on their well being.

When kids are secretive, act out, harm themselves, or rebellious, they often have something they need to talk about that isn't being addressed in the way they need, or they feel like they're not being heard.

I've worked with many kids-especially in middle-and-high school-who initially tell their parents or teachers "nothing's wrong," and then can't seem to talk enough with an adult they perceive as caring, nonjudgmental, safe, and objective.

Life can be overwhelming. And it's exhausting fighting with the anxiety, depression, and overthinking.

When you're tired of the fighting against yourself, the feeling stuck, the repeating of old patterns, the watching life go by, the feeling not good enough, try something different.

Ask for help. You can always go back to your old way of doing things, but you may find that you have you opened yourself up to a world of new possibilities.
